Hi, I’m Teasha, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and families in community mental health and private practice.
Growing up comes with a lot to navigate. School stress, shifting family dynamics, intense emotions, and life transitions can leave kids and teens feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure. I specialize in working with emotionally sensitive and neurodivergent youth who often feel anxious, misunderstood, or on edge. I also support families in improving communication and co-regulation so home feels more connected and less reactive.
My approach is trauma-informed, with a focus on calming and supporting the nervous system. I incorporate play, art, movement, and sensory tools, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients build coping strategies, regulate emotions, and develop flexible thinking.
I strive to meet clients with warmth and understanding, creating a space where they can feel comfortable, supported, and truly heard. Sessions focus on practical ways to handle emotions, strengthen communication, and build confidence, with the goal of helping individuals and families create lasting change.
You can schedule through my website, Headway (a secure insurance and scheduling platform), or by reaching out via email or phone. My availability is currently Friday and Saturday.
