Meghann Henderson (founder of Child Therapy Halton) holds a Master’s of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist. She is licensed to practice Psychotherapy and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Meghann has specialized training in Play Therapy (through the Canadian Association for Play Therapy), as well as extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults with developmental disabilities. She is trained in and utilizes a variety of Psychotherapy modalities including (but not limited to): Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, EFT, Attachment-based, Filial Therapy, strengths-based approaches, and more depending on the needs of the individual she is working with. She has experience working with individuals who are experiencing a variety of concerns including anxiety, trauma, aggression, parental divorce or separation, adoption, or foster care, grief and loss, depression, difficulty coping with a new situation or change, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more.

Psychotherapy with a Registered Psychotherapist is covered by many extended health insurance plans, in addition, Meghann also works in partnership to obtain clinical supervision of a Registered Psychologist for the purpose of billing and insurance coverage on an as-needed basis.
